Infants

Our infant rooms are warm, cozy and homelike to help children feel comfortable and secure. Caregivers meet infants’ needs consistently, promptly, and lovingly in response to each child’s individual daily schedule. Caregivers encourage infants to use their senses and their rapidly growing physical and cognitive skills to explore their surrounding environment. Our caregivers make sure parents are informed daily about their child’s growth and developmental stage. Our infants’ needs are monitored constantly and all feedings, diaper changes and other activities are recorded for the parents’ review daily.

At Buzzing Bees, we know that every moment with an infant is precious. That’s why we coo, cuddle, rock and do everything possible to bond with your baby and develop a sense of trust . Through simple games like peekaboo and reading stories throughout the day, our loving teachers begin the foundational work for later learning and help infants grow in areas such as:

Language development–using books, songs and activities that match your child’s development level

Cognitive development—using activities like peekaboo, hunt and find,  shape-sorting toys and puzzle time

Motor Skill development — grasping toys, tummy time, and toys to push and pull around the room

Sensory development — touching items with various textures and feeling materials in the sensory bin.

Rest and nap time

Our specially designed infant daycare rooms are places where babies feel safe, secure and happy. Rooms are divided into general interest areas that meet an infant’s need to move, explore, express and relax. Personal playpens, separate areas for changing and feeding, and our booties policy, which requires that all shoes be covered when entering an infant classroom, ensure clean playing, eating and sleeping spaces.

Toddlers

At Buzzing Bees Learning Center, our Staff provides Infants with nurturing care, physical and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities. We introduce developmentally appropriate exercises to get your little one moving, sign language to assist in communication, and music, nursery rhymes and stories to stimulate their cognitive development.

Our Toddler curriculum is to provide toddler with a nurturing experience that will encourage exploration of the world around them while enhancing cognitive development. We work on building vocabulary to foster independence, number, letter and color recognition to stimulate their minds, and social skill building to help build a foundation of caring.

For nearly two decades, The Creative Curriculum® for Infants, Toddlers & Twos has supported teachers and caregivers as they create responsive daily routines and meaningful learning experiences for the youngest learners.

Preschool

The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool is one of the most widely used pre-K curricula in the nation. It’s comprehensive and research-based and features exploration and discovery as a way of learning.
Foundation volumes help teachers create high-quality learning environments and support deep understanding of early childhood best practices, theories, and research. Robust Daily Resources provide the instructional tools and materials to engage children in project-based investigations and make every moment of the day meaningful, intentional, and engaging.
The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool is…
Inventors. Problem-solvers. Discoverers. Dreamers. Children 24 to 36 months are opening their eyes to the larger world around them and taking an active role in it. They learn as they take things apart, put them together and ask lots and lots of questions. Our teachers plan developmentally appropriate activities to encourage social, emotional interaction and mastery of cognitive skills.
Motor Skill Development — outdoor games, dancing, movement.
Language Development — recognizing and forming letters, story time, speech.
Sensory Development — textures, understanding the senses, descriptive activities.
Imaginative Development — arts and crafts, dramatic play, storytelling.
Social Development — large- and small-group activities, sharing, politeness.
